Working With Forest Green Rovers

It's always very exciting as you become involved in a very different working partnership.   And even more exciting when that partnership is in the sport with the highest profile - football.

A few weeks ago, we announced a new sponsorship deal  with Forest Green Rovers, the EFL League 2 side which also happens to be the only 100% vegan football club in the world.   On Monday and Tuesday of last week, Bute Island Foods was invited to a partners networking event at the club's ground in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.   We heard all about the club's plans for the 2019-20 season, and beyond, which can only be described as impressively exciting!

Sustainability is central to the ethos of Forest Green Rovers.   From solar panels and electric vehicle charging points at The New Lawn stadium, to their vegan matchday menu, the guys at FGR strive to be the greenest football club in the world.   We learnt about how the club is "greening up football", their plans for their new Eco Park, and how they became the world's first vegan football club.

Bute Island Foods is proud to be partnering with the club this year, and can't wait to see what this collaboration grows into!   A very big thank you to Forest Green Rovers for a great couple of days, and to Jade for creating some incredible vegan dishes for lunch!
