Sheese Vegan Cheese Now in Morrisons!
December 23, 2019"Munro Bagging" is a popular activity in Scotland, and in the rest of the UK, where hill walkers will "bag" all 304 Munros to be found on the British Isles. And, a bit like Munro Bagging, Bute Island Foods are delighted to announce that we have bagged the big four supermarket chains in the United Kingdom! From this Christmas, our products can be found in Morrisons supermarket chain, under their own Free-From branded range of vegan cheese, along with Tesco, Asda and Sainsburys.
This is a huge coup for the company, and we are delighted in the confidence shown in our range of products by the big four supermarkets. And, of course, we can also be found in Waitrose and Lidl throughout the UK, and in Spar in Scotland.
Initially, five varieties of vegan cheese will be on offer - Wensleydale Style with Cranberries, Cheddar Style with Caramelised Onion, Original Creamy (with a brand new tasty recipe), Garlic & Herb Creamy and a new Garlic & Herb Roule. And for Christmas, the packaging is very festive and certainly makes a Christmassy impact! I called into Morrisons in Grantham this morning, and they had virtually sold out, so make sure you call in early to be sure of bagging some of our delicious vegan cheese.
Over the last 30 years, our company has grown in strength, and is now one of the largest producers of vegan and dairy free cheese in the world. We have come a long way since our humble beginnings on a farmhouse kitchen table on the Isle of Bute where we are still based, and having our products available in all of the big four supermarkets is the pinnacle of our success to date. But we have exciting ongoing plans for expansion of our markets, including a new Australia-dedicated website. So we are certainly not resting on our laurels and are actively looking for ways to increase our reach around the world.
