Sheese Nominated for V2 Award

The award nominations just keep on coming - this time, Bute Island Foods' Sheese has been nominated for Best Brand in the very first Vegetarian & Vegan Awards 2020, or V2 Awards for short.

The awards are aimed predominantly at the catering industry, but as many of our favourite products include catering-sized packaging, we are delighted that the Sheese brand is being recognised.   We already work closely with pizza chain Papa Johns, and know that our products are used extensively in many vegan and vegetarian food outlets around the country.

The black-tie event will take place on Monday February 24, at The Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.   Top restaurants, takeaways, bistros and suppliers from across the UK will gather to celebrate those who shone brightly in 2019.    These Awards will recognise the real masters across various categories and those who provide colourful and tasty salads, smoothies or even vegan burgers and curries, using natural ingredients and staying loyal to the ethical values of   vegetarianism.    The event heartily celebrates the vegetarian and vegan friendly establishments, where there is always something delicious for the whole family to enjoy as their inventive menus include everything, creating a vegetarian oasis in the cities of the UK.

Irfan Younis, CEO of organisers Creative Oceanic said: "œVegetarian and vegan friendly establishments have been around for so long but still remain over-shadowed.   The Awards aim to provide a platform to those who have dedicated their career in providing the public with the vegan edition of much loved dishes across multiple cuisines, using the best of ingredients."   He continued, "The competition is tough as there are some excellent professionals in the industry but each finalist has their own success story to tell.   We can 't wait to welcome our guests and celebrate the winners with them. "

We are also delighted to see one of our regular resident chefs, Pamela Higgins, also nominated in the Vegan Advocate category.   Bute Island Foods is honoured to be recognised in this inaugural awards event, and wish everyone nominated the very best of luck.
