VegFestUK a Huge Success

Bute Island Foods was delighted to be a major sponsor of the 7th annual vegan festival, VegFestUK, held at Olympia London on the weekend of 26th-27th of October.   The event is a comprehensive showcase for the vegan way of life.   With nearly 11,000 visitors and 1,400 workers, the event was a huge success, with so much to see, do and taste.

The event aims to furnish visitors who are either already vegan or thinking of making the transition with as much information and advice, as well as introduce a huge range of vegan products that would be of interest.   Highlights of the event included a Climate Summit on the Sunday, looking at climate issues in relation to veganism, as well as a Wildlife Summit focusing on wildlife issues.

The event organisers were also delighted with the success of VegFestUK.   "This year's festival was on a different scale from all our previous events, in relation to the amount of activities that we were able to accommodate over 4 exhibition halls.   We hope visitors enjoyed the variety, breadth and depth of products and information offered at the weekend.   Many thanks to all our supporters, from our sponsors and exhibitors to the contractors, hosts, speakers, entertainers, volunteers and venue staff.   The events would have been impossible without their support."

And the event is set to become larger than ever with the 2020 festival, on the 14th and 15th of November, when it will be moving to the Grand Hall at Olympia, with much more space, natural daylight and a capacity of 10,000 attendees at a time.   And we are sure that with the growth and interest in veganism, those visitors numbers can be achieved.
