Our award winning Greek style Sheese is a Southern European style dairy free alternative to cheese.
Greek style Sheese is a vegan, kosher and dairy free cheese alternative to Greek Cheese, made with coconut oil and evokes a taste of Southern European cuisine along with that amazing ever so slightly crumbly texture.
It’s one of the latest additions to our Sheese range, as we are always developing new products with improved textures and flavours! Also, unlike its dairy counterpart, this one actually melts too, but the place where it’s most at home of course is cubed and diced in mixed salads, on crackers or in sandwiches (with slices of beef-steak tomato and a sprig or two of basil or oregano). All the Bute Island team hope you’ll like it as much as they enjoyed making it.
Feel free to give us your feedback if you’ve already had the chance to try it, and be sure to check out some recipe ideas we have to spruce up your vegan meals!
We are delighted to announce that our Greek style Sheese is the Bronze Award Winner of the first ever Free From Food Awards in Ireland! It was listed under the Substitutes category along with our Spring Onion & Cracked Black Pepper, which one won the Silver Award in the same category.
Our Greek style Sheese had been shortlisted at the Free From Food Awards 2016 in Germany, in the Dairy Alternatives category. We know this is something special as they celebrate the best in Free From foods! If you would like to find out more about the Awards (and your German is good enough) please check out their Free From Food Awards website. Also, the English equivalent website may help you here, as they do share the same objectives and values.
