As well as some prestigious awards, our Sheese products have also been grabbing the headlines.
Reviews are always subjective, but the general consensus is that our dairy free vegan cheeses are amongst the very best on the market today. After interviewing our directors, Food and Drink Matters offered an excellent overall review of the whole ethos of the company and our products, reporting that “over 20 years of experience has enabled the company to become one of the foremost providers of vegan and dairy-free cheese products”.
Meanwhile, The Veg Fest Express online vegan magazine was delighted to report that our products are increasingly available throughout the world – “Bute Island Foods’ Sheese is now distributing virtually worldwide! From the UK to Canada, Finland to Australia, no matter where you are, you can find Sheese without too much trouble.” Our hard work to get our Sheese into Australian supermarkets was well covered by Plant Based News and Live Kindly, and we are, of course, working hard to spread the net even wider!
But it was the UK that saw the phenomenal rise in popularity of our Sheese, as we started producing for the Tesco and Asda Free From ranges, as well as for Sainsburys, as reported in Vegetarian Living.
And the Sheese success is well deserved, as independent reviewers seem to love our produce. Tofu Magazine is definitely a fan and was enthused about the melting quality of our Mature Cheddar style, delighted that “for the first time in all my years of eating vegan cheese, I ate a vegan cheeseburger with perfectly melted cheese that almost bubbled as it was cooked”. And our Australian YouTube friend Will James was equally enthusiastic, giving our Sheese a glowing report.
