The smoky flavour, which was specially developed to complement the cheddar-style taste, was enjoyed by the panel.
Judges also appreciated the smoking process, which involves a natural smoking process for 24 hrs with a blend of hickory and oak smoke.
“This has a great taste and texture. It feels right – I would buy it” said one panellist. Another judge added this was an excellent cheese replica that had “amazingly good taste and texture”.
