It is thought
that Gouda is named
after the Van der Goude family, which also gave its |
|
name to the Dutch
city Gouda.
During the 15th century the city, Gouda, was as big as |
|
Amsterdam. Try Gouda style Sheese
cut into cubes served with wine. It's perfect grated |
|
into mashed potato or shaved onto
sprouts. Lovely on rye bread or toasted onion bagels. |

Humankind has not woven the
web of life.
We are but one thread within
it. Whatever we do to the web,
we do to ourselves. All
things are bound together.
All things connect.

(Native American leader of
the Suquamish & Duwamish people who
inhabited what is now
known as the State of Washington) |
